As active members of the business community, Team Watts is committed to returning support – both locally and further afield. Whites Hill State College at Camp Hill receives bursaries for students achieving an OP 1-3, jerseys for the senior rugby union team and an “Imagine, Believe, Achieve” student award each year. Team Watts also donates a percentage of commission on sales of properties owned by College affiliates back to the school. Acknowledging the importance a guide dog plays in the lives of those who are vision impaired, Team Watts is a proud supporter of Guide Dogs Queensland. The team offers its support as a puppy sponsor, allowing the animals to be trained for their vital role in the community. Regular contributors to Camp Quality, a non-profit organisation which offers support to children living with cancer, Team Watts donates a portion of each commission from every sale to this worthy cause. Team members also plan to volunteer their time by attending camps and offering their personal support to participants. Concerned about the number of children worldwide who are living in poverty, Team Watts provides sponsorship to Plan Australia, one of the world’s largest community development organisations. Through Plan, Team Watts helps a girl in Nepal and a boy in Indonedia to receive an education and a chance to move out of the poverty cycle.
